The mission
The mission of SSHOC-CH is to create a cluster of social science and humanities research infrastructures in Switzerland, encompassing both national infrastructures and the national nodes of international infrastructures.
The vision is to:
Enable synergies and foster collaborations
Through cooperation, complement and enhance existing infrastructures
Provide a framework for new research infrastructures
Establish the link to SSHOC at the European level and to other national clusters

The European Commission has initiated a public consultation on a new “European Strategy for Research and Technology Infrastructures”, according to an announcement from the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SBFI).
Report on SSHOC-CH GA and its satelitte event
The first SSHOC-CH GA and its satellite event successfully took place on April 11, 2025, in Bern.
The GA was chaired by Georg Lutz, director of FORS and president of SSHOC-CH. He noted the increasing visibility of SSHOC-CH in the research community and emphasized the progress made since its founding on April 24, 2024. Georg Lutz presented the 2024 Annual Report.
